April/May Newsletter

Newsletter for the months of April & May comes home today.

Congratulations to 4C for earning a pizza treat today - hard work, punctuality, kindness, & cooperation all added up to a bit of fun!!! Yum!!!

Terrific Tuesday

Spelling Workbook 32 due by end of week.
Spelling Test on Units 32, 33, and 34 (a selection of 20 words) will be on Friday, June 12.
Workbooks are to be kept up-to-date as per usual.

Monday's Homework

No new homework - so students can focus on Reading Rainbow #3, Socials Blog, and Judaics Project

Bright and Shining Faces at Seniors' Lunch

We had the opportunity to join the Seniors' Lunch for a few minutes today. We went across the hall from our classroom, introduced ourselves and listened to four of our Science Fiction stories read by Adam, Aimee, Daniel, and Yuval. All our bright and shining young faces cheered the older folks immeasurably.

Reading Rainbow Timeline

Reading Rainbow #3 - due Tuesday, June 16.

A timeline for the completion of work for this mini-project has been given to students. It should help with time management, and hopefully make the process enjoyable. This assignment is meant to give students a chance to learn about an inspirational character, analyze found materials, and have some fun with interview and poster techniques.

Spelling 30 & 31 - Workbook due Friday as per usual. Some time in class will be provided for the completion of these 2 units.

Math - P.O.W. "W" - due next Thursday AM (I will be with students Thurs. AM, the 28th)

SCIENCE - Quiz on Friday. Have duotang in class.
