Shabbat Shalom
We had a productive Science class in the Library today. We practised changing notes into sentences, and we worked on a rough copy of our Range Maps. Our "Spot Check" indicates that everyone has their folder at home now, and most students are well underway. Time management is essential. Students should be completing one section every two or three nights in order to avoid pressure nearer the deadline (Dec. 4 - Friday).
If you want to order photos or retakes, bring envelopes to class on Monday.

We had an excellent visit to the Aquarium's AquaQuest "Staying Alive" program today. The students were curious and engaged. I was so proud of them, and so pleased we could experience this "hands-on" program. We held a jellylike sea cucumber, we lifted a giant turtle shell, and saw the two baby belugas playing. We will collect photographs and post them so you can share the day with us. Send pics to my email at squirke@talmudtorah.com.

Mr. Brian Herrin "lit up our day" with his presentation on the properties and sources of LIGHT.
He had demonstrations and discussions using lasers, solar panels, light meters and colorful burning chemicals. Today's learning launches our second term Science unit on LIGHT. Thank-you to the BI for letting us set up in the Judaica Hallway, and to Mr. Herrin for coming from the North Shore to visit us.
